Guests

It's been a busy six weeks at the Purple Palace (an affectionate nickname for our townhouse). We've turned into something of a bed and breakfast for long lost, out-of-town friends. It's great to be back in touch with so many old pals ... all people that I had completely lost touch with over the last decade. But, the advantage of living in a beautiful place is that people are more apt to come visit.

Here's some photos of our recent visitors:

College friends Steve Vierling (Denver) and Evan Fowler (No.Cali) flanking me on the chairlift.

High school friend Dara McDonald (with new baby Rye under cover) on a visit from Salida.

Leadville friend Fritz Howard who stayed at the Purple Palace while preparing for a dog sled race.

Uncle Ross, from San Fran. who managed to squeak out a night at the end of a work trip to Colo.

I've even made trips to Leadville and Salida for rendezvous with old Leadville pals Sarah Creighton (Grand Junction) and Alison Manthey (Salida).
